Angela Schnaubelt's Educational Background

Angela earned her BA in French from the University of Colorado, Denver in 1994. After two decades of study and direct experience, she is an expert in comparative religion and nutrition. She is also an expert in water (water treatment, city water, well water, water and health, water filtration, microbiology and water, and more), having researched the topic for years, as well as having been directly involved in the water treatment industry in Minnesota.

Toastmasters International has provided Angela with invaluable experiential leadership training, public speaking skills, and communication and listening skills. Just like anything in life, you get what you put into Toastmasters. Angela has put much effort and dedication into her ten years of involvement in Toastmasters International both at the club level and the District leadership level. Her involvement includes coordinating multiple Speechcrafts (5 - 8 session course on public speaking and leadership skills), leadership training presentations at the District level, service in most of the club officer roles, three terms as Area Governor, mentoring of dozens of new members, and more.

Professional Background of Angela Schnaubelt

Angela is currently a writer by profession, but her background consists of entrepreneurial ventures over the past 18 years with projects as varied as vending airline parts, tire recycling, sustainable building components in the construction industry, and other interesting business projects. Her main theme through all business ventures is helping start-ups and small companies fortify infrastructure to withstand growing pains. Angela is an expert in setting up "systems" for small business infrastructure.

Her sales experience is also extensive, and Angela is a successful closer. Her sales experience is varied including selling high end water treatment systems, vacation club memberships, and more. Angela has written several articles about sales training and closing techniques.

Recently, Angela was the Sustainability Director and eventually Vice President of a start-up panel manufacturing plant for wood trusses, and wall and floor panels. Her professional growth in those roles led her to research and write more about green building and corporate environmental sustainability. Angela is very knowledgeable about the LEED rating system of the USGBC, especially when it comes to the panel manufacturing industry.

She is a citizen journalist for Examiner.com with two news columns:

Twin Cities Water Examiner

Minnesota Conservation Headlines Examiner

She has also written numerous articles for eHow.com, DemandStudios.com and has an obscure personal blog with a poem about a cemetery in Prague, Czech Republic.

Angela Schnaubelt's Personality, Interests, and Hobbies

Typical of many Geminis, Angela is a great initiator with lots of ideas and energy. She was also born the year of the rooster, according to Chinese astrology, and is great at motivating and leading people into new territories and new ideas. Angela's passions are too many to list, but here is a partial list: reading; biking/hiking/camping; spiritual pursuits including divination, Kabbalah, etc.; photographing statues of stone angels in cemeteries around the world; travel; crafting including creating pop-up greeting cards for friends and family, scrapbooking, crocheting, sewing, etc.; public speaking; Toastmasters International; mentoring; coaching; writing, and more.

Angela'sr passion for environmental issues and sustainability are reflected in her actions, her speech, her thinking, her writing and her educational presentations. Gaia is a living creature with a consciousness, and all living things on this planet are intricately connected. Environmental conservation is not simply about leaving a legacy for future generations and being a good steward of the environment, but rather about behaving as enlightened Beings and treating Gaia with the love and respect that She deserves.
